Week awards for the period ending April 13. Oregon sophomore
infielder Mitchell Tolman was named National Hitter of the Week,

Tolman, a Lake Forest, Calif. native, propelled Oregon to a
5-0 record over the week as he went 9-for-15 (.600), hitting
safely in all five games and collecting multiple hits in three
of those. The sophomore drove in at least one run in four games,
including a pair of two-RBI games, and collected six RBI total.
He added six runs scored while recording a .684 on-base
percentage and .733 slugging percentage. Tolman currently owns a
team-best batting average of .352 for the Ducks and ranks ninth
in the Pac-12.
Carter tied a program record with 15 strikeouts on Saturday
as he took a no-hitter into the eighth inning in a 17-1 rout of
Fordham. The senior struck out the first four batters of the
game and six of the first seven. Through the first seven innings
of the game, only eight Fordham hitters managed to put the ball
in play and Carter retired them all via ground ball outs. He
finished the game with no walks and just three hits allowed.
