DALLAS (NCBWA) The National Collegiate
Baseball Writers Association released its NCAA
Division II National Players of the Week awards for the
week ending on Apr. 11. Central Missouri junior outfielder
Justin Graff-Rowe is the National Hitter
of the Week, while Alabama-Huntsville senior pitcher
Will Myers is the National Pitcher of the
Week.
Graff-Rowe (Waterloo, Ontario, Canada/Seward
County CC), hit .650 with a double, three home runs and 13 RBI over
five games last week. He slugged 1.150 and had a .682 on-base percentage.
Graff-Rowe went 13-for-20 at the plate, had at least one hit in
every game and had two three-hit games and a four-hit game. He scored
six runs, raised his MIAA-leading batting average to .441 and his
on-base percentage to .497. The 6-0 junior outfielder is a native
of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada where he competed at Sir John A. McDonald
Secondary School. Central Missouri was 2-3 over the last week.
Myers (Philadelphia, Miss./East Central CC) tossed the third
no-hitter in program history to secure a 3-0 win against Valdosta
State. He threw 7.0 shutout innings with no hits allowed and six
strikeouts in a 103-pitch performance.

Founded in 1962, the NCBWA is dedicated to the advancement of
college baseball. Membership is open to writers, broadcasters and
publicists of the sport. Members receive a membership card, directory,
newsletter updates and official votes in the Howser Award Player
of the Year, Regional Player of the Year and NCBWA All-America voting.
The NCBWA also sponsors preseason All-America awards, publication
