OKLAHOMA CONTINUES TO TOP
GRANTLAND RICE SUPER 16

DALLAS (FWAA) – The top eight teams in the FWAA's Grantland Rice Super 16 Poll remained the same, including the unbeaten Oklahoma Sooners, who continued to receive each of the poll's 16 first-place votes. The Sooners cruised past Baylor, 41-3, to reach 11-0 with one regular-season game left at Texas Tech this weekend.

Three of the nation's one-loss teams – USC, LSU and Ohio State – are 2-3-4 in the poll with Michigan looming at No. 5 with a home date vs. Ohio State this weekend. USC and LSU still each have a pair of regular-season games remaining.

TCU, the only other team without a loss, dropped a spot to No. 10 as Tennessee vaulted past the Horned Frogs to No. 9.

Kansas State, which ended a losing streak at Nebraska dating back to 1968, earned the FWAA's National Team of the Week with its 38-9 win over the Huskers in Lincoln. Other teams nominated for the team of the week included Ohio State, Penn State, Vanderbilt, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
