DALLAS (NCBWA) – The University of Redlands' Josh
Makler made program history, while LaRoche College's
Colin Feikles turned in a huge week at the plate
en route to gaining the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association
weekly awards for the span of April 7-13.
Makler, a junior from Portland, Ore., threw a complete-game no-hitter
for the Bulldogs April 12 in an 8-0 win over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps
College. In the no-no, Makler racked up 11 strikeouts through the
nine innings which was a new career-best mark for the junior pitcher.

the U of R, two games to one. For Redlands, the no-hitter was the
first for the program in at least the last 15 years.

smacking 2 home runs and hitting .750 (12-for-16) in four conference
wins. In a doubleheader sweep of PS-Altoona, the junior tallied
seven runs, two doubles, one homer, and 10 RBIs. Feikles followed
this with another stellar performance, this time against Hilbert.
In another doubleheader sweep, Feikles tallied three runs, three
doubles, one homer, and four RBIs. The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate
