FIU IS REVEAL SUITS NATIONAL TEAM OF THE WEEK

DALLAS (FWAA) – The FIU Panthers earned their first win over an ACC opponent and only the second win over a current Power-5 opponent, with a stunning intra-city win over Miami, 30-24, at Marlins Park. The win gives the Panthers (6-5) six wins in a season for a school-record third consecutive year, and earned them the Reveal Suits National Team of the Week honor for games of the weekend of Nov. 23.

The announcement came on "Playbook" on ESPNU Radio on SiriusXM. Each Monday during the season the Reveal Suits National Team of the Week will be unveiled during the program, which airs weekdays from 1-4 p.m. ET. The FWAA's All-America Committee selects the weekly winner and all Division I FBS and FCS schools are eligible to be selected.

This is the first time for FIU to earn the Team of the Week honor.

FIU bolted out to a 23-3 lead, taking advantage of its first of three interceptions to set up a short field goal by Jose Borregales. James Morgan then led an 11-play, 80-yard drive capped by a 29-yard strike to Shemar Thornton for a 10-0 lead. FIU led 13-0 at the half, staving off two Miami possessions into its red zone with fourth-down stops. Sage Lewis had 10 tackles and an interception to lead the Panthers' defense. The three interceptions were a season-high for FIU.

Borregales tied his own school record with a 53-yard field goal in the third quarter for a 16-0 lead. Miami got back within one possession at late in the third quarter, but Anthony Jones broke through the left side for a 37-yard touchdown run with 2:17 left for a clinching score and a 30-17 lead. Jones finished with his fourth 100-yard rushing game with 112 yards and Morgan had 160 yards through the air.

The other National Team of the Week nominees for the weekend of Nov. 23 were:

Arizona State (6-5): Freshman quarterback Jayden Daniels threw for a career-high 408 yards as the Sun Devils took down No. 6 Oregon, 31-28. ASU led 24-7 in the fourth quarter before Oregon got to within three at 24-21, but Daniels shut down the comeback with an 81-yard strike to Brandon Aiyuk down the left sideline. Eno Benjamin ran for a 14th 100-yard game of his career with 114 yards.

Charlotte (6-5): The 49ers became bowl-eligible for the first time with a 24-13 home win over Marshall. Victor Tucker's 24-yard touchdown catch in the final minute sealed the win on a fourth-and-10 play. Charlotte held Marshall to 13 points, the second-fewest points the 49ers have ever allowed in a C-USA game. The win was Charlotte's third come-from-behind win (trailed 10-0) in its last four games.

Yale (9-1): The Bulldogs won a share of the Ivy League championship for the second time in three seasons after scoring two touchdowns in the last 90 seconds of regulation, then sealing the game on their second overtime possession to take The Game, 50-43. Yale trailed 15-3 at the half and 36-19 in the fourth quarter before the rally. Kurt Rawlings threw for a career-high 417 yards and Yale had 479 total yards. In its 147th year playing football, Yale ends the season on a six-game win streak and scored 50 or more points in its final three games.
