USBWA UNVEILS WINNERS OF ANNUAL PERRY WALLACE, PAT SUMMITT MOST COURAGEOUS AWARDS

The USBWA annually recognizes a player, coach, team, official or administrator who has demonstrated extraordinary courage reflecting honor on amateur men's and women's basketball. Kendall Currence of Northeastern is the recipient of the 2022 Pat Summitt Most Courageous Award, while Texas' Andrew Jones and Washington University's Justin Hardy will share our 2022 Perry Wallace Most Courageous Award. All three players share remarkable experiences and continue to fight through personal obstacles that personify the two awards that have evolved from the USBWA's original honor first presented in 1978.

The Oscar Robertson Trophy and Ann Meyers Drysdale Award have new branding marks, thanks to a partnership with Fort Worth-based PytchBlack Creative. The new marks will be on full display at the men's and women's Final Fours when the winners are revealed on Friday, April 1. The partnership is also in the final stages of a complete reimagination of the association's website, which will have added features and greater access to membership information and benefits. The USBWA will remain partnered with the FWAA and the NCBWA in serving its members online.
