TULANE HOLDS ONTO NO. 1 SPOT IN
NCBWA POLL ENTERING SUPER REGIONALS

DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the eighth year with its 2005 weekly surveys. Weekly polls will continue each Monday through June 28, following the NCAA World Series in Omaha, Neb.

The Tulane Green Wave, the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, cruised into the NCAA Super Regionals along with each of the other top seven teams that remain unchanged in the NCBWA rankings. Tennessee, vaulted eight spots from No. 19 to No. 11 by advancing and USC moved up 11 spots to No. 15 with its regional win. No team dropped from the rankings this week.
